If you see “1mL cartridge tubes,” that’s referring to the size of cartridges that fit in the tubes, not the liquid volume capacity of the tubes themselves.

What Styles of Plastic Tube Containers Are Available?

However, they do tend to work best as 1mL cartridge tubes since 0.5mL cartridges are a little small for the 78mm to 80mm length. Most 0.5mL vape cartridges are approximately 50mm to 60mm long, and they would rattle a bit in a 78mm to 80mm plastic vape tube.

In addition to our plastic squeeze tube packaging, we make five different “push down & turn” screw top plastic storage tubes. The 72mm white plastic cartridge tube is the smallest of our plastic tube storage containers, and is a much more suitable size for 0.5mL vape carts than the 80mm or 90mm tubes. Plus, all five of our “push down & turn” plastic tube caps are certified child-resistant.

If your state required child-resistant packaging, you can still use these clear vape tubes, but you’ll have to buy external child-resistant packaging (cartridge boxes, exit bags, etc) to meet regulations. These plain plastic tubes are 86mm long, making them perfect for 1mL or even 2mL cartridges.

Does the PACT Act Affect Vape Tubes?

The Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking (PACT) Act does NOT affect plastic tube containers for vape cartridges. The PACT Act, originally passed in 2009 and amended in December 2020, was introduced to regulate and monitor all cigarette and tobacco sales to prevent those items ending up in the hands of kids. The recent amendment changed the Act to now include Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS).

ENDS are defined as much more than e-cigarettes, though. The new definition of ENDS includes nicotine-free vape liquid, including THC/CBD vape liquid, vape batteries, empty vape cartridges, atomizers, and a few other items that are used for vaping. However, since plastic tube storage containers are not a vape-specific item, they are not included as ENDS products nor affected by the PACT Act’s new mailing ban and regulations.

The mailing ban dictates that the United States Postal Service (USPS) will no longer ship ENDS products, and other private shipping companies (UPS, FedEx) have followed suit. That pretty much leaves just one option for manufacturers purchasing ENDS products: LTL freight shipping.

But thankfully, since plastic squeeze tubes and other vape tube designs aren’t designated as ENDS products, they can ship normally through all of our regular shipping methods. While other vaping materials’ shipping costs are rising, our vape tube price points for shipping are able to remain the same.
